Understanding the dashboard

A tour of every part of the prospiq dashboard — what each panel does and where everything lives.

Last updated May 11, 2026

The dashboard is the first thing you see after signing in. It's designed to get you from "I just landed" to "running a search" in two clicks, and to show you at a glance what's happened recently in your account. Here's a tour.

The top bar

The top bar runs across the entire app, not just the dashboard. From left to right:

  • prospiq logo — clicking it returns you to the dashboard
  • Global search bar — search across your contacts, companies, and history. The shortcut Ctrl+K (or Cmd+K on Mac) opens it from anywhere in the app
  • Theme toggle — switch between dark and light theme
  • Credits pill — shows how many credits you have left. A red dot appears when you're running low
  • Help icon (?) — opens this help centre
  • Notifications bell — shows alerts and announcements
  • Profile avatar — your account menu (settings, sign out)

These are always there. Wherever you are in the app, you can search globally, check your credits, or sign out from any screen.

The left sidebar

The sidebar is your main navigation. It's organized into sections:

Top section

  • Dashboard — where you are now
  • Search — single contact lookup (email, phone, or both)
  • Bulk enrich — upload a CSV for batch enrichment

Data

  • Saved lists — contacts you've saved into organized lists
  • History — every lookup you've run
  • Companies — find decision-makers at target companies

Team

  • Members — manage your team (visible to team owners and admins)

AI

  • AI assistant — prospiq AI (ICP analysis, cold email drafting, market research)

Bottom section

  • Changelog — recent product updates
  • Settings — account, billing, integrations, API keys
  • Upgrade plan — quick path to plan selection (free users see this prominently)

The sidebar can be collapsed using the toggle in the top-left corner if you want more screen room.

The dashboard content

Greeting

Top-left, you'll see something like "Good afternoon, [your name]" — adapts to the time of day.

New search button

Top-right of the dashboard, a primary New search button takes you straight to the search page. Fastest path from a fresh sign-in to a fresh lookup.

Stat tiles

Four tiles across the top of the content area:

  • Searches — how many lookups you've run (this billing cycle)
  • Verified — how many of those returned a verified result
  • Hit rate — the percentage that succeeded
  • Credits — credits remaining, with a small usage bar showing how much of your monthly allocation is left

These give you a quick read on your activity and your credit pace.

Recent searches

Below the stat tiles on the left, a panel showing your most recent lookups. Empty on day one. Once you've started running searches, this is a quick way to re-open a recent contact without going to the full history page.

If the panel is empty, you'll see a "No searches yet" message with a Start searching button.

Quick actions

To the right of recent searches, a panel with three shortcuts:

  • Search contact — same as the Search sidebar item
  • Bulk enrich — same as Bulk enrich in the sidebar
  • View history — same as History in the sidebar

These exist because they're the three things most new users want to do, and putting them on the dashboard saves a click.

Getting started checklist

A four-item checklist at the bottom, showing your onboarding progress:

  • Create your account ✓
  • Run your first search
  • Upload a CSV for bulk enrichment
  • Invite a team member

Each item ticks off as you complete it. The bar at the top of the checklist shows your overall progress.

How the dashboard changes over time

On day one, most of the dashboard is empty — zeros across stat tiles, empty recent searches, full Getting started checklist. After a few days of usage, the same dashboard looks completely different: real numbers in the stats, real searches in the recent list, the checklist done.
