prospiq's email verifier tells you whether an address is real and deliverable before you send. You can check a single address or upload a CSV of up to 10,000 emails at once.
Where to find it
Open Verify email in the sidebar, or use the Verify tile on your dashboard. There's also a free version at prospiq.net/verify that anyone can use without an account — 5 checks per day, single addresses only.
What the verdicts mean
| Verdict | Meaning | Safe to send? |
|---|---|---|
| Valid | Mailbox exists and accepts mail | Yes |
| Role address | Deliverable, but a shared inbox (info@, sales@) | Yes, expect low reply rates |
| Catch-all | The domain accepts mail for any address, so the specific mailbox can't be proven | With caution |
| Invalid | Mailbox rejected or doesn't exist | No |
| Disposable | Throwaway or temporary domain | No |
| No mail server | The domain can't receive email at all | No |
| Malformed | Not a valid email address format | No |
| Unknown | We couldn't get an answer from the mail server | Free — try again later |
Verifying a CSV
- Open Verify email and click the upload area in the Verify a CSV card (there's a sample file to download if you want to see the format).
- We auto-detect the email column — your file can have any other columns alongside it.
- Duplicates are removed automatically, and files are capped at 10,000 emails per run.
- Watch results stream in live, then download the results CSV with a verdict for every address.
If you run out of credits mid-file, the batch stops cleanly — everything verified up to that point is kept and nothing further is charged.
How billing works
- Every account gets 25 free verifications each calendar month, on every plan.
- After the free allowance, 1 credit unlocks a block of 5 verifications. Unused checks in a block never expire — they carry over month to month (shown as "banked checks" on the Verify page).
- Every delivered verdict counts toward usage, including catch-all.
- Unknown results are always free — if we can't give you an answer, you don't pay for one.
- Re-checking the same address within a month is free.
Verification history
Your past verifications live on the Verify page — search them, filter by verdict, and export the full history as a CSV anytime.
Verifier vs. email finder
The verifier checks addresses you already have. The email finder discovers a person's address from their name and company — and there, our enrichment promise applies: you're never charged for an unverified email.
